DEEP SEA MINING
The new frontier
- Polymetallic Nodules containing Cobalt, Copper, Manganese, and Nickel

- Polymetallic Sulphides

- Cobalt-Rich Ferromanganese Crusts

Nodules do not contain toxic levels of heavy elements and 100 per cent of their mass can be turned into usable materials.

At 3800 - 5500 meters deep, there is intense pressure with a dark and vast sedimentary seabed.
Using ocean nodules to supply metals for one billion electric vehicle batteries will generate at least 70% less CO2 equivalent emissions from land ores.
NNH offers deep-sea exploratory services to search for polymetallic nodules in deep to ultra-deep water blocks, from 4000-6000m in depth. Our deepwater dual mining system is capable of minimizing disturbances to the seabed environment, eliminating soils released in the water columns.
LAND-BASED
BAUXITE

NNH has financial interests in a Brazilian bauxite quarry. Bauxite is mined and converted into Alumna and is sold on contract to smelting plants in Europe, USA, and Asia.
Present production is 375 million tons/year.

EMERALDS & DIAMONDS

NNH has financial interest in an Emerald mine and the second largest Pink Diamond mine in the world, complete with an in-house diamond cutting and polishing department.

OPENCAST MINING

We execute medium to large scale opencast mining projects; mine infrastructure works, bulk earthworks, rehabilitation services, and plant hire.
Commodities: coal, platinum, copper, gold, lithium, limestone, diamonds.
